Does Admin Strategies require broker of record as a prerequisite to providing outsourcing services?

No, we never take broker of record. Admin Strategies works in cooperation with your broker. In fact, we put it in writing with every broker that we work with. Our Broker Agreement specifically prohibits us from taking broker of record.

Do my employees have to be trained on new systems?

No. Our staff administers all aspects of the administrative systems required to administer your company.

Will our employees be able to view our benefits package online?

Yes. We implement, host and maintain a customized state of the art benefits website for each of our clients.

How quickly can you implement your services?

We begin our work the moment you sign our Client Agreement. Implementation time varies depending on the complexity of each client's organization, the availability of employer & employee data and the responsiveness of their insurance carriers. However, the average implementation process takes approximately 2 months.

What is involved in the implementation process?

This process involves the gathering and auditing of data, filing authorization paperwork with your carriers, developing a customized benefits website, the design/auditing of your new hire orientation package and communicating with your active employees, recent terminations and current COBRA participants.

How much work is required from your client's during the implementation process?

We have designed our implementation process with two priorities in mind:

  • Establish an accurate and complete benchmark from which to proceed
  • Cause as little disruption to our clients as possible
The amount of work required from each client depends on the availability and integrity of their existing data.

Who retains ownership of the data and personnel files that you maintain on behalf of your clients?

All client data, including personnel files remain the sole property of our clients.

What frequency options are available for fee payments?

We strive to be as flexible as possible to accomodate a variety of client cash flow preferences. We offer monthly, quarterly and semi-annual payment schedules.

Does Admin Strategies provide any long-term fee discount options?

Yes. We provide a 3% discount to clients who pay via ACH direct debit due to the reduced administrative burden. We also provide an additional 2% discount for clients who pay on a semi-annual basis.

Are there any hidden fees that are not disclosed up front?

No. The only expense that is not included in our base annual fee is the delivery cost associated with the distribution of new hire orientation packages. The shipping cost is treated as a total pass-thru to our clients. We do not attach any service charges to the cost of delivery.

How often does Admin Strategies adjust its fees?

We evaluate our outsourcing fees on an annual basis at the end of each contract year. The fee for the upcoming year will be determined at that time.

Does Admin Strategies charge COBRA administrative loads?

Yes. We charge your COBRA participants the standard 2% administrative load regardless of whether or not the participant is granted an 11 month disability extension.

Can I cancel our Agreement at any time?

Yes. Either party may cancel the Agreement by providing a minimum of 90 days written notice. This will allow adequate time to properly transition all data, files and open issues to the client.
